The Shear Box for2.5in (63.5mm) diameter samples meets ASTM and AASHTO requirements for direct shear testing of soil specimens. The Shear Box is divided horizontally so that one half can be displaced laterally as shearing forces are measured, and the unit is equipped with screws to adjust the gap between the two halves. The anodized aluminum Shear Box features a Teflonfinish for corrosion resistance.

Includes 2.485in (63.1mm) diameter top and bottom Porous Stones and a Loading Ball. Included components can also be ordered as individual accessories to enhance sample preparation efficiency, or as replacement items. An Extruder (purchased separately) allows for easy removal of a tested sample.
