These 1.5in (38.1mm) diameter Latex Membranes are .025in (.6mm) thick and 8in (203mm) long.The membranes are placed over soil samples as a barrier to fluids in pressurized chambers. Made from pure latex rubber, membranes are processed under tightly controlled, proprietary manufacturing standards to maintain high-quality products that are free from defects. They are supplied in packages of 12 in amber-colored bags to inhibit damage from ultra-violet light. Installation is performed using a vacuum activated stretcher to avoid damage to the specimen.

Latex Membranes encase soil specimens during triaxial shear and permeability testing in fluid-pressurized chambers.The Membranes form a waterproof barrier, allowing confining pressures to be applied to the soil samples using water or other permeant solutions while protecting the sample from moisture changes.

All membranes are available in a wide selection of diameters and lengths in wall thicknesses of .012 or .025in (0.3 or 0.6mm.)
