TheOakfield Apparatus Closed Tube Soil Probe is a 36″ closed-tube probe, perfect for avoiding cross contamination. It has an 11″ soil tube that will keep the 3/4″ diameter sample completely encased until you are ready for removal(outer diameter of the probe is 15/16″). The sample can easily be removed through the opening at the top of the tube. It includes a replaceable, screw-on Wet Soil Tip.

This one-piece probe offers a welded on footstep for easy insertion into the soil. A 5″ handle is also welded on to the probe for convenience. As a single unit, it’s incredibly sturdy and there’s nothing to take apart, so it’s easy to grab and go.
